The year is almost over and of course I didn’t get around to even half of the personal projects that I would have like to. But thankfully there’s always next year…
One last fabric pattern did sneak through though, and I ended up taking elements from the design in a few different directions.
Here’s the watercolour painting (plus some Procreate bits) that the pattern is made from. I would tell you how I worked out the tiling for it but I honestly can’t remember… It all came together in a rare and productive work flow state that I now can’t make any sense of.
I got some fabric printed with the pattern (Contrado again) and made some pillowcases out of it, now we dream of bitey fighty dogs all night long.
My appliqué making has ground to a bit of a halt lately, but while putting the dog pattern together I felt the urge to turn this wee tail-biting moment into something of its own.
The dogs also became a set of large postcards which you can buy from my shop. Take a look if you’re in need of a reward for getting though 2022 - and a reminder not to race too hard in 2023.
Thanks so much for subscribing to Patchwork, I’m looking forward to sharing lots more work with you next year. Until then, happy holidays!
